This includes job titles, company names, application statuses, application dates, job board sources (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor), notes, tags/labels, and interview details.
  • Resume Files: You may upload resume documents (e.g., PDF, DOCX) to track which resume was used for each application. These files are stored securely.
  • AI Feature Inputs (Pro Users): If you use our Pro AI features for cover letter generation or interview prep, you will provide textual inputs such as job descriptions, resume snippets, personal details, or answers to interview questions. The AI models process this data to generate tailored content.
  • Payment Information: When you subscribe to a Pro tier or make a one-time payment for the Chrome Extension, you provide payment details (e.g., credit card information). This information is securely processed by our third-party payment processor, Paystack, and we do not directly store your full payment card details.

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your account and job application data to deliver the core functionality of UpKwest, including managing your applications, tracking statuses, organizing with tags, and syncing data between the web app and Chrome Extension.
  • To Manage Your Account: Your email and authentication data are used to create, maintain, and secure your user account, allowing you to log in and access your information.
  • To Process Payments: We use payment information, processed by Paystack, to complete transactions for subscriptions and one-time purchases, and to manage your billing.

  • To Provide AI-Powered Features (Pro Users): Your inputs for cover letter generation and interview prep are processed by Google Gemini and Claude AI to generate the requested content. This data is used solely to provide these specific features.
  • For Analytics and Improvement: We analyze usage data to understand how our Service is used, identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and enhance features like auto-extraction and smart source detection.

  • Supabase (Database, Authentication, Storage): We use Supabase to host our PostgreSQL database, manage user authentication, and securely store your uploaded resume files and other application data. Supabase acts as our primary backend provider.
  • Paystack (Payment Processing): When you make payments for Pro subscriptions or the Chrome Extension, your payment details are securely processed by Paystack. We do not store your full payment card information on our servers.
  • Google Gemini (AI Features): For Pro users, specific textual inputs provided for AI-powered features (e.g., cover letter generation) are sent to and processed by Google Gemini to generate the requested content.
  • Claude AI (AI Features): Similarly, for Pro users, specific textual inputs for AI-powered features (e.g., interview prep) may be sent to and processed by Claude AI to generate the requested content.

4.2 Other Disclosures
